Chakras have been described as looking like a spinning lotus flower on a stalk connected from the front of the body to the back of the spine. They also project out from the spine at the back of the body.
They are a mysterious energetic system that connects the flow of energy around our body like beautiful shining chords that plait or weave up from the base of the spine to the crown and then back down to our feet and up again. Each chakra has a link to a gland and they are moved by the energetic nature of the hormones produced in the glands and organs of the body.
The chakras are not symbolic or imaginary, they can be seen by clairvoyants and felt by most of us. They can become injured, inactive or blocked when a person experiences emotional pain. Because the chakras carry the currents through the body this inactivity can increase the possibility of disease in the body which if not addressed could bring on life threatening health problems. I think that where disease manifests is the body’s alarm bell to address an emotional issue with tenderness and care so that the body can heal, forgive and find a new balance and in doing so reactivate the chakra currents and restore health.
